This weekend's Masses were held in the newly re-finished gym! The staff did a tremendous job of transforming the gym into church.
There was a power point presentation before Mass highlighting details of the upcoming mission trips for the youth. During Mass the responses and music were displayed so it was easy to participate - and no one had to bring over BREAKING BREAD books!
The Praise Choir sang at the 10:30 services.
And Fr Blane and the lectors were front and center.
The rededication of this beautiful space occurred near the end of Mass. Following Mass, parishioners had the opportunity to tour the office and youth areas, enjoying some refreshments and fellowship - and were able to vote on the stained glass window project.
Ben Budde shared some personal insights about the book REBUILT. If you haven't heard what he has to say about his experience with the book, talk to him! His words will inspire you to read this book. It's a quick and easy read, and will encourage each of us to participate in rebuilding our Church.
I talked a little bit about two upcoming events covered in other posts, THE CAMEL LOT (December 18 just after the Community Dinner), and THE JOURNEY OF THE MAGI (December 29th, time TBD). I urge anyone interested in participating in these two events to contact me. I don't know anyone yet, and need help with a variety of things, from set design to costume creation to teaching the songs to our kids. There is literally something for everyone!
Blessings,
